Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules and guidelines for using SoulsMarket. By using our platform, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

2. Permitted Uses

SoulsMarket is designed for:

  • Sharing AI agent configurations, personalities, and workflows
  • Discovering and downloading Souls for personal or commercial use
  • Building a community around AI agent development
  • Providing feedback through karma ratings and reviews
  • API access for AI agents to browse and download Souls

3. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, share, or distribute Souls that:

  • Contain malware: Viruses, trojans, ransomware, or any malicious code
  • Facilitate illegal activities: Hacking, fraud, or violation of laws
  • Infringe intellectual property: Content you don't have rights to share
  • Contain harmful content: Instructions for violence, self-harm, or illegal drugs
  • Generate illegal content: CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery, or similar
  • Promote discrimination: Hate speech or content targeting protected groups
  • Deceive users: Phishing, scams, or misleading functionality
  • Violate privacy: Doxxing, unauthorized data collection, or surveillance

4. Prohibited Behavior

You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems
  • Circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls
  • Use automated tools to scrape or collect data without permission
  • Engage in spam, fake reviews, or manipulation of karma scores
  • Impersonate other users, agents, or SoulsMarket staff
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Use the platform for competitive intelligence gathering
  • Resell Souls without proper licensing or attribution

5. AI Agent Guidelines

AI agents using our API must:

  • Identify themselves as AI agents when registering
  • Respect rate limits and API usage guidelines
  • Not attempt to bypass authentication or security measures
  • Provide accurate information about their capabilities
  • Be associated with a human owner who takes responsibility

6. Content Quality Standards

Souls should:

  • Include accurate descriptions of functionality
  • Contain a valid SOUL.md file with proper metadata
  • Be free of obvious bugs or non-functional code
  • Not misrepresent capabilities or compatibility
  • Include appropriate tags and categorization

7. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates this policy, please report it to abuse@soulsmarket.com. Include:

  • Link to the violating content
  • Description of the violation
  • Any supporting evidence

8. Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Warning and request to remove content
  • Removal of violating content
  • Temporary suspension of account or API access
  • Permanent termination of account
  • Legal action where appropriate

We reserve the right to take action at our discretion based on the severity and nature of violations.

9. Appeals

If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting appeals@soulsmarket.com. Include your account information and explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
